Cultural Capital

Cultural Capital has been defined as, 'The essential knowledge that pupils need to be educated citizens, to engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.' OFSTED

At Stanburn, we see Cultural Capital as the knowledge, behaviours and skills that a child can draw upon to demonstrate their cultural awareness, knowledge and competence. It will support our children to be successful in society, their career and the world of work.

We believe that Cultural Capital helps our children achieve goals, become successful, and rise up the social ladder. Cultural capital develops aspiration and a desire to Believe, Achieve and Succeed - no matter their starting points.

Our 5 Cultural Capital drivers are woven into our curriculum offer.
