Pupil Wellbeing

At Stanburn, we prioritise mental wellbeing just as highly as academic success. We want all our pupils to feel safe, valued, and connected to our school community. Through classroom lessons, targetted group sessions and individual support, we teach our pupils to develop the necessary skills to manage their emotions and build positive relationships.

Stanburn Zones of Regulation

Our Pastoral Lead, Miss Raine, oversees our PSHE programme ensuring all our pupils are taught the fundamentals of good personal, social and emotional learning. The details of our curriculum can be found here.

In addition, Stanburn has two full-time Wellbeing Mentors, trained to support the children to deal with the everyday stresses and strains of everyday life. They are trained in counselling, mental health, emotional literacy, bereavement and more. Our pupils can self-refer or parents can request wellbeing support.
